A simple dinner party with friends. Other than the snacks, also made organic spinach with bbq chicken, homemade dressing salad. Seafood pasta turned out perfectly, used shrimp broth, butter, cream, broth from two packs of frozen mussels. For dessert, Ben & Jerry’s Cherry Garcia ice cream topped with fresh raspberries.
First time of making, turned out to be great!
Thick cut T bone steak, cooked medium rare; cheesy rich twice baked potatoes; bbqed corn on cob (not pictured) and fresh made simple salad, that’s our dinner for this special day.

1. In cast iron pan, saute chopped 1 sweet onion, sliced carrots, 8 cloves of garlic, 2 tsp brown sugar, a bit of mustard in beef fat then add in meats from 6 baked ($375 for an hour) chicken drumsticks, precooked millet, some parsley; chicken bouillon and curry powder, salt to taste. Add chicken stock when its dry.
2. Transfer to nonstick pan, add corn, spinach, finish cooking. Reheat before serving.
At a friend’s home, she made an awesome display, also introduced me to several authentic Spanish dishes – Queso Frito (Dominican Fried Cheese); Mangu (boiled plantains served with onions); Steamed Yuca, all tasted fantastic! Look the piles on my plate!
