It is in Tampa, FL! The ice disk was more than 2 inches thick!. This winter has been so cold, and last longer than any winters we could remember.

I made a couple of cold cuts dishes for today's pot luck party at a friend's home. This plate of turkey gizzards was one of them. Traditionally, this dish calls for duck gizzards, but... duck gizzards are hard to find around, so I uses turkey gizzards instead. There are plenty of them available during the holiday season. I often buy several pounds of gizzards, cure them with kosher salt, then air-dried in our lanai. Then I freeze them in packs to enjoy later. They are chewy and tasty, make great snacks.
