Pictured a rustic truck in front of a bar in Key West. Visitors had sketched and graffitied over its body. I found the whole image almost like a natural born abstract art.

Months ago, I was watching Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations (it was filmed years ago). He was in Key West, one of the themes was he chewing on those greasy deep fried fritters, it looked yummy. So, months later, here we were, after walked with empty stomachs for nearly an hour, standing in front of a demolished building which was supposed to be the local restaurant where Tony had chowed at. Tried the restaurant's phone number, wasn't working either.
We asked a tall lady standing nearby, she didn't know anything about it. More upsetting was, she grabbed my list which I wrote down things to do in Key West, and laughed about all those "boring things" I have listed, such as conch fritters; sunset on on Mallory Square; Key Lime Pie, etc. She suggested, we should go check out bars, especially those ones are gay and lesbian's hot spots, "well... straights are also welcomed", she added, noticed impressions on our faces.
Walking on Key West's streets with a same sexed friend, especially we were both Asians, somehow a bit uncomfortable to me, because, it seemed we were automatically assumed as "Lesbians". "What a comfortable match...". I almost can hear what they were saying. Maybe it was just my imagination.
Anyway, back to the topic of Conch fritters, We finally found one roadside tiny shop - Mattheessen on Duval street sells Conch fritters, freshly made, the guy was friendly, and his fritters were pretty tasty... those are the ones showing in this picture.

A simple white cottage with awesome looking palm trees at its front. If I may pickup a cottage somewhere on this island to live, this one definitely will do...
and I will add bright blue curtains to its windows, and paint bunch of vibrant flowers; a couple of lusters; and a group of little yellowish chicken babies onto its outside walls, then... I will hang a south pacific style hammock between those palm trees on the left...
of course.. it will be a never ending project. One thing for sure, you will never recognize this cottage again.
