Christmas is becoming a more and more commercial holiday (in my personal opinion). In USA, it's the biggest religious day and the most important holiday to swap gifts!
In China, it's just a one more great excuse for business people pushing their goods.

Eastern Department Shanghai, China - Dec 20, 2002... Isn't it cool?!![]()
... people don't set up Christmas trees at home though... no gifts ; no special dinners either!

Danbury Fair Mall, CT - Dec 21, 2003
2 weeks before Christmas, people here already became panic in shopping, every exits from high ways to Malls could be jammed, and you might drive round and round in the parking lots of malls for over half hour to look for a spot to park.![]()

This photo was taken on an open market in Yangshuo China. I went to this market alone(Alan was sick, he stayed in the hotel). This open market was about half hour away from downtown of Yangshuo. Peasents were selling veges; fruits; clothes; chicks; pigs; cattles... and puppies.
Those puppies were selling for $2.5 each. I never known what happened to them afterwards.
Those eyes touched my heart deeply...I never forgot them.
One day, I will go back to that market, and buy some puppies from the peasents. I will bring them back to the States with me and give them a free and happy life...
