Kim was called in by the Army, and she was flying to Afghanistan at this afternoon. Alan and I left our FL home at 6:30 this morning... drove 6 hours to GA's Atlanta airport... met her there for several hours then turned around drove another 6 hours back to FL. We arrived home at 9:30pm.
An unusual day for the Christmas eve, eh?
This airport is the most interesting airport I have been to so far. The swarm of 16 inch long red ants above travellers' heads is one of airport's art collections.

Friends of us would have to work on the Thanksgiving Day, so we had an early Thanksgiving dinner with them tonight. I learned an easy way to marinate the big bird from one of my Chinese friends "hupo" from our forum...the bird tasted wonderful... thank you again "hupo"!
Alan baked the bird and prepared all the dishes. It was my parents' first Thanksgiving dinner.
"High Tea" in the States refers to afternoon tea or the tea party. Friends of mine Jan & Peggy invited me to have a High Tea meeting in a small tea house called "Miracels" on Cross Creek.

This tea house is small but lovely. And it's air full of sweet fruity smell.
