Colorful Rice  - Sock rice in water over 1 hour at least, put rice in wok, then add same depth of water. Hot temperature cook the rice till it's boiled and water is start to disappear, turn stove temperature to medium cook about 10 minutes (depends on how much rice in the wok). Add seasonings; ham; corn; peas; a little bit chopped chives...stir the rice and stuff added in. Turn stove to very low fire cook for about 15minutes then turn off stove, keep the wok covered for 10 minutes. done. A very easy dish, what you really need is a timer... make sure you don't forget the cooking on stove while you are playing on computer (as I did and resulted a fire in our kitchen last year)

Beef Stir Onion  -  Alan loves onion... almost every dish has to have onion, otherwise the dish would be not 'accomplished' ... so here goes, bean sprouts; broccoli; sliced beef ... and chopped onion. Use egg white and half tea spoon cornstarch to marinate beef over half hour at least.

Heat the wok with 2 table spoon oil, garlic first, onion second, stir fry till they smell nicely, add marinated beef, stir for 5 or 7 minutes when you can not see the red in the meat. add broccoli and bean sprouts, sir fry one minute, done.
