Pomegranate - Chinese fruit
My grandpa grew a short Pomegranate tree in a 2 feet wide pot on their tiny
balcony in Shanghai downtown's crowded 'pigeon' style home. That tree
bloomed and fruited... Ping-Pong ball size fruits,the seeds were wrapped
sour and sweet taste juice. It was a few snacks I had in my childhood...
This time, I saw they sell it in Stop & Shop, huge! Bigger than Tennis ball!
much sweeter too.
When I was chewing the seeds, they brought me back to the old time with my
grandparents... memory is still vivid... |
